These earrings are SPECIAL.
To begin with, both handmade beads are authentic Venetian Murano glass from Italy. In designing them, I had one of those moments when I thought they might look good together. Well, I was so pleasantly surprised, they are a beautiful fit! And the size is wonderful, just 2 inches total length. They are large enough to be seen, but not too big or heavy ;-)
The top bead is a Klimt design where 24kt gold and multi-colored Murano glass frit gives a random pattern of bright colors in a 14mm disc shape. The entire bead is then encased in crystal clear Moretti glass. The Moretti glass is rich and thick, and gives the bead richness and depth. What I personally like too, is the disc has a slightly puffy middle, which gives it some added interest, as if the color wasn't enough ;-) The Venetian Murano triangle beads starts with 24 karat gold foil, which in Italy is referred to as "Oro". It is then encased in crystal clear Moretti glass.
Highlighting the two beads are 14kt gold filled beads and vermeil spacer bead. These are all securely wire wrapped to 14kt gold filled fish hook ear wires with 14kt gold filled ear nuts.
